The Impact Bag is one of the best selling training aids of all time and is used by instructors and players worldwide. The new SUPER Impact Bag is an updated version of the original product and has a few Key improvements.
Designed to be used on its edge, the new bag presents a much larger striking surface area. This gives you an easy way to see if the shaft is straight or slightly forward pressed at impact ensuring you are not flipping your hands. Note: Any time you strike an Impact Bag with an iron you should be striking with a slightly descending blow.
Whereas the original Impact Bag had no designated hitting area, the SUPER Impact Bag features new ball targets. They are marked L and R for left or right-handed players. The objective is to strike the center line from a slightly inside approach angle. This will vary slightly if you use more lofted clubs, but normally we recommend training with a 5-iron if a single club is used.
The large black V on the bag is designed as a general shaft plane reference. The area below the V depicts a typical swing plane area for driver through 9-iron and the edge of the V should be used as a reference when striking the bag. It is not critical to match the V exactly as the plane will change from club to club, but the edge of the V will provide a reference that is easy to see.
Please Note: A standard Impact Bag Instructional DVD will be included with your order as the use is identical except for the bag orientation. If desired you may lay the bag flat and use it exactly the same way as the original Impact Bag and you'll have one MAMMOTH bag for your practice sessions!
