How does the Learning Curve work? |
The Learning Curve provides feedback and reinforcement in 4 unique ways. Each is designed to help you learn how to putt on the curve.
1. The Plane
Align the plane to your target. Make a stroke with the heel of your putter riding the plane. Notice that the heel of your putter comes inside the line of the putt as it comes up. Your stroke is forming a curve as it comes inside during the backstroke, back to square at impact, and to the inside again during the follow through.
Provides Positive Feedback
Letting the heel of the putter ride on the plane gives you the feel of the correct curved stroke
2. The Red Rail
Attach the red rail to the inside of the plane as shown. It will form a curve the same as that formed by your putter when the heel rides the plane (as above). Set the toe of your putter near the red rail (¼" ½") and make a stroke, keeping the toe that same distance from the rail throughout. Place a ball near the center of the red rail as shown and hit putts while letting your putter head swing on the curve.
Provides Negative Feedback
The red rail lets you know if your putter head goes outside the proper path of the curved stroke. When this occurs, your putter head will strike the red rail, giving you instant feedback about your stroke.
3. Face Angle Guidelines
Turn the plane over as shown, set your putter head on it, and use the yellow markings to show you the correct angle of your putter face during the stroke. Make strokes back and through so that the center line of your putter head remains on the yellow curve.
Provides Visual Learning
The 7 yellow guidelines illustrate the correct clubface position throughout the stroke. This gives you a fantastic visual reference to help you square the putter face to the curve.
4. Alignment and the Curve
Align the red rail at your target as shown. Place a ball at the end of the rail and use the perpendicular line on the rail to ensure that your putter face is square at address. Using the curve on the rail as a reference, swing your putter along the curve back and through as you make your stroke.
The Learning Curve can be used by either a right or left handed player.

Keep the putter shaft from rotating when using the Putting Plane Alignment System, Learning Curve or putting rail. The Putter Guide easily attaches to any mallet or blade putter.
Keeping the Putter Guide flush against the rail of your putting system confirms that your putter is square to the plane, making you a more consistent and accurate putter.
How to attach the Putter Guide to your putter
For blade-type putters
Hold the Putter Guide against the heel of the putter.
Stretch the rubber band from the post toward the back of the putter, then underneath and around to the front of the putter. Attach it to the post.
For mallet-type putters (use larger rubber band or tape):
Attach the Putter Guide as described above, but move the rubberband towards the center of the putter for additional tension (as shown).
