How does Eye Over The Ball Putting System work? |
The EOB Putting Device may be attached to any toe-heel weighted cavity backed golf putter with a cavity large enough to accommodate the base of the device (1 11/16 inches in width, the same as the diameter of a golf ball). This includes most popular cavity back golf putters on the market today. Because the EOB Putting Device is extremely light, it will not significantly change the swingweight of the putter.
Although the cavity ideally should be flat, a slightly rounded cavity will also accommodate the EOB Putting Device. The double-sided tape or epoxy will fill in the space between the cavity of golf putters and the base of the putting aid.
The EOB Putting Device should be located in the cavity of the putter so that the arrow shaped sighting slot in the top of the device points to the "sweet spot" on the putter face.
For initial practice and trying out the EOB Putting Device, you may want to mount the device using the provided double-sided tape. To use it on a permanent basis, epoxy the device to rear cavity using the provided epoxy. The golf training aid for putting instruction and play is designed to fit into the cavity of many popular putters.

Five major principles ultimately guided the development of this system:
- Sight the line of the putt from the rear, as Harvey Penick advised in his Little Red Book.
- Place the eyes directly over the line of the putt and slightly behind the ball.
- Execute the stroke on as straight a line as possible.
- The putting stroke should be executed in one piece so that the putter is nothing more than an extension of the arms.
- The putting system should be built into a repetitive routine to maximize consistency and help block out negative thoughts.
